The way we define failure is flawed to such an extent that it causes failure within us or within the things that we try to achieve. We define failure as not being able to achieve a set target or objective yet failure in its real definition is the inability to see different options for success. Failure is inevitable, it will happen and it must happen. In this article I want to share with you the 4 ways that you can turn the supposed “Failure” into success.
1. Redefine Failure
When you try something and it does not work out, this is not failure it is simply the elimination of an option that is not the pathway to success.Ā if you don’t eliminate false methods or solutions you will never discover the right way to do things. Our mistake is in thinking that when we fail whilst we are eliminating options hence we then declare ourselves as having failed. When we fail to see the different options that exist, this is failure in itself.
2. Experience
Our minds remember things by association and experience. If you don’t experience something your level of expertise is lower than someone who has experience with it. The more you eliminate options to your real success the more skilled you will become. No one starts by breaking a world record, you first start off slower and as you eliminate the coarseness of your technique you become more equipped to succeed. Experience in failure is not something to be ashamed of, it is actually “school modules” that you are attending in the life degree. Experience more in order to train your mind to be more skilled. Experience is just a training ground for improvement.
3. Standard
When you fail in something let your effort be your guide for the level of standard that you must beat. The reason why people keep failing at the same thing is because they are not learning anything new. They are just doing exactly the same things without thinking of how to change their approach. When you fail at something it is time to reflect on your timing, your resources, your planning, and your strategy. Failure to achieve at a certain “try” is not the blue print for the next thing, it is just the foundation of the lowest standard that you must not achieve.
4. Identity
You will never know who you are until you have failed at something. Your level of determination, patience and stamina are a product of failure to achieve something at a designated time. The more you face resistance to your objectives or goals in life the more you are refined as a person and the virtues of patience are molded. In life you will lose money, friends, support, careers and much more, however who you will only be complete if you understand what you are when you are facing failure at something.
Conclusion
You have a choice of what you can become in life. You can either invent the light bulb 99 times until you get it or you can try it once and label yourself a failure. No one really fails, people just give up in the process of eliminating the wrong strategies. Multi-millionaire can go brokeĀ but come back up again because they have understood how to use failure to catapult themselves to success. Don’t try once, try everyday.
Very interesting ways to turning failures in into success.
